Avatar The Last Airbender

A question that has come up more than once is if Avatar The Last Airbender is toon or if it is anime, and personally I dont think it comes down to something as simple as that, what many people don’t realize is that Avatar The Last Airbender while created by two Americans and owned by Nickelodeon (a true sign it is a Toon) a lot of the animation and traditional story line comes straight out of Korea. I like to think that Avatar The Last Airbender is the first of many shows that will not be known as anime or as toon, these are a product of both of the very well established story telling disciplines.

Through the integration of the these multiple different styles to the story, Avatar The Last Airbender truly becomes some thing new. Many die hard anime  fans hate to admit that Avatar The Last Airbender is possibly an anime series, as traditional disney lovers hate to admit the resemblance that Avatar The Last Airbender has to the traditional toon, but what ever Avatar The Last Airbender is, it’s definitely  popular.
